[Review] Tree of Life (Online)

I always like a build and craft games, with cute graphics. Tree of life is one of them.

Tree of life is a paid online game, like rust. But more user-friendly. In rust, you can get killed 1 minute when you join the server. In Tree of Life, the one that can kill you is only people from other faction. So, that's why I chose my camp to be far away from them.

But wait... The in app purchase really help us to level up fast.

When you enter the game. You can choose between male and female *thank God*

And like always... I'm choosing a female....

At first, I feel like I can do it okay by myself. Leveling up is easy and building a base is easy... But after I got my carpentry to lvl 20. It all became hard.... It's so hard to play by yourself, because you have so much to do, and the day light is so fast.

I have to cut the trees, plant it, kill the wolves, farming, making weapons and armors, find a copper vein and make some food.....

The grinding never ends....

In the tree of life, you leveled up by doing the chores that you want. But you only get some skill points, so don't waste it in some skill that you don't need. And that's also why you need a team mate... So you guys can divide all the chores in your camp.

I do have a guild... I do....

But my guild mates rarely online. So the base is mostly on me. And that's why my camp is growing really slow.... There are lots of new camps around me, and they already have a base bigger than me...

*sad

Ah...
It's so hard playing alone because you also have to make money! To pay the tax!
I thought I can make all money at once, and make the tree protect us for 1 year..... Turned out.... I can't. The Warden Tree can only accept the tax money when I only have 7 days of protection left.

I'll give some tips for you... DO NOT upgrade your warden tree if you play the game all by yourself and you're still poor..... Because the tax got more expensive. From 1 silver to 2.5 silver (I'm Broke).

Also~

If you still want to be safe on your island... DO NOT go to the outlaw area... Because once you step into the outlaw areas, your newbie title will be erased, and you can get killed easily by enemies.

And you also learn how to be patient....
Like in all online games. There are some A**holes!

They took down all the trees and never plant it back. Making my base like in a deserted area.
They also stole our belongings while we're renovating the camp.

So, Overall:

  • Graphics: It's cute, like luna online, even the zombies are not that scary.
  • Gameplay: Well... It's fun... But like I said, if you play the game by yourself, without team mates... The grinding is really exhausting. The in app purchases also really help you to get through the game... and it's really EXPENSIVE!
  • Connection:  I don't know, whether my laptop is not good enough, or their servers are not good enough. I play this without shadows and everything, but still lagging. I play rust faster than this.
  • Overall: If you like a harvest moon meet rust, where you can kill enemies. It's a game for you! Join another guild if you can't make a guild on your own. But be careful, some a**holes trying to steal your stuff by joining your guild.

You can find the game on Steam, and it's cheaper if you buy 4. So~ Ask your friends to join you in this journey! :p

PS: I'm opening my guild for Indonesian players! PLEASE HELP ME! QAQ

[Review] Beholder (Steam Games)

Accidentally looking at some steam sales and got curious with this game BEHOLDER.

Watching the trailer and screenshots from steam, I got hooked on the graphics and art but actually not expecting something impressive about the game.

Starting the game, they asked me to choose the difficulties.
Trainee mode or Government elite mode.
Because I underestimate the game, I think it's an easy game, so I chose Government Elite Mode.

It's a story about a family that moved to an apartment to manage it. The catch is, they HAVE TO spy at their tenants, to make sure they didn't do or have something illegal. Or, if you feel that you don't like the government, and trying to make some changes, you can start by helping the new order.

We are playing as Carl Stein, the father of the family. When we see some tenants having or doing something illegal, we can choose between reporting it to the government or blackmailing them. Sometimes the blackmailing thing is not going to work, when that happens, report them! (LOL)

You can also steal from their rooms. But be careful, if you take too many items, the government will come and have an inspection, and you will be punished.

There are lots of tenants that you can move in to. Every tenant, have their own background stories, something dirty, and problems. Some residents can help your life, and some will make your life miserable. Just be wise in choosing every answer.

Even some tenants will kill you if you're rude to them. Choosing the government elite mode for a newbie like me is a wrong choice itself... LOL

It's hard to make money and even harder to buy some things because everything is so expensive.
First time playing. I got my daughter died from illness, my wife killed in a riot and my son got taken away by the government. Not to mention that I got killed by a tenant.

  • Graphic: 8/10.  So simple yet artistic. I like this kind of graphic in games.
  • Music: 8/10.  The give me goosebumps and makes me feel like I'm in a country like Arstotzka (Paper Please)
  • Story 10/10. Every choice matters. And they have lots of different endings that makes this game more fun
  • Gameplay: 9/10. It's so simple yet so hard. you only need to use your mouse and WASD for the camera. It only lacks saving feature. They only have autosaves feature that makes you confuse when you want to load them. I think it's better if they also have a feature that we can save the game whenever we want.
  • Overall: TOTALLY RECOMMENDED. For people who want to pass their free time with a casual yet challenging game. And it's even worth every penny.
