[Review] KLCC Park and Aquaria Malaysia

I always like water and fishes. So, aquarium is one of the best places to go to. Yea... yea... i know... it's not good to take fishes to aquarium, not their natural habitat. But I don't have diving license. and I seldom go to the beach or places to go diving. I just want to believe that not all aquariums are harsh to fishes. *fingers crossed*

so, let's start!

How to go there

It's quite easy actually. If you have google maps, just search it! LOL (not helping)...

jk jk...

Okay, I like to use trains. so, find a train that is in Kelana Jaya Line LRT. Then just go straight to KLCC station. If you can't find the line. You can go to KL Sentral Station first, then change to a train that will go to Gombak. It's 5 stations from KL Sentral Station.

If it's too hard. I reccomend Uber or Grab (like in my other blogpost). To know which one is cheaper. check it with google maps........ Yeah.... Trust me... Google maps is the only thing you need... :p

After you've arrived at KLCC. I recommend you to go to Aquaria via KLCC Park. So you can take a picture with the TWIN TOWERS!!!!

KLCC Park

It's good to have a park in the middle of a town! Even though the weather is REALLY HOT! But walking in the park is kinda a little bit bearable for me (I hate hot weather).  It's too bad there are no Spring here :p

It's nice that the park has drinking water. benches, and an open small pool!! you can play water there!!!!!!

This park is a nice place to take a picture of the twin towers too!! Perfect spot for taking the picture is on the bridge!

After strolling at the park... You'll arive at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, where you'll reach your destination!

Enter the building, then go left until you see an escalator to go down. You'll arrive at the food court that has the AQUARIA!!!

The picture is not helping.....
You have to queue for the ticket, and please..... only 1 person queuing... The other please wait someplace else.

The admission fees are:

They do have promotions. Two of the promotions that maybe we have as an expat are : Maybank Card Promotion and Malindo Airline Ticket Promotion.

You can see other promotions here : http://aquariaklcc.com/promotions

Don't forget to check their feeding time, so at least you can watch something rare!

[Review] Animangaki 2016 Event Review

I know it's REALLY LATE, to post this event's review.

I just had the time. And I really wanna tell you my first experience for Malaysia's Cosplay Event.

My friend told me about this event, and I got curious about it. So, I decided to check the event's website.

It's in Sunway Pyramid Convention Center. I don't know where it is, but I'm just guessing that it's going to be a huge Cosplay Event!

They have early bird tickets and walk-in tickets. They both have the same price. and I didn't think they the early bird has that much perks than the walk-in tickets. So, i decided to buy the walk-in tickets instead. The ticket is kinda expensive for me...

I don't know where the convention center is... and.... I GOT LOST IN A MALL =)))))

Thank God, I saw people wearing costumes going somewhere, so I follow them, and finally arrived at the event venue!

They're using 2 floors for the venue. second floor is for cosplaying resting place (?), ticket booths, collector's dungeon and anime screening.

Got my ticket easily (I thought I have to queue in a very hot weather like in AFAid). They gave me a ticket bracelet (?), a BOOK GUIDE, and COUPONS!!

Never got a book guide and coupons everytime I went to Indonesia's cosplay events!!!!

The book guide is really helpful!!!! I hope Cosplay Event's planner in Indonesia can take an example from them!

And the coupon is not bad too!!! I LIKE llaollao!! and also i want to buy GINDACO AGAIN!

from the 2nd floor, I saw people gathering in some kind of hall. Lots of cameramen and cosplayers. It's nice that cameramen can have their own space for having photoshoots at the event!

I forgot to tell you that one thing that's kinda shocking for me..... THEY HAVE A FREE FLOW DRINK FOR EVERYONE!!! And don't worry, they have someone to change the glasses.

sorry mate, i'm not taking a picture of you.
After getting shocked by that, and after getting my ticket, I go inside the collector's dungeon! It's like place for communities to display their collections. Gunpla, nendo, figurines, etc.

And don't worry, the place is not crowded, it's also have guard rails, so we can see the collections comfortably. And if you want to join them, you can ask them.

Went downstairs to enter the cosplay venue. I saw people watching Touhou competition (?). Got curious and I check it out too! I didn't play Touhou because it's hurting my eyes.. LOL... but it's fun watching people playing it.

1st floor halls got lots of things going on! There are b-boy competition, Omatsuri, purikura, and lots of  other booths. And I think you can come here free! The tickets is only for the stage area, exhibitors, and doujin booths. *sobs* feels like has been cheated *sobs*

I forgot to check the schedule very detail. I just saw a Cosplay Competition at 15:00, so I decided to go there at 2 PM. Didn't realize that it's only a GIJINKA cosplay competition, and 30 minutes in duration! I go there with uber because I didn't know the public transportation that well. And TRAFFIC JAM EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!! When we got there, the Competition has ended. Thank God, I saw at least a little bit of their costumes.

Their theme is FAVORITE MALAYSIAN FOOD!

Can you guess what food their cosplaying as???

The satay girl is kind of popular because of her cute and sexy voice while saying "satay sauce"... LOL... but she's pretty too!!!!

After this, they only have live musics, with bands I don't know yet. so I decided to go around and see the exhibitors booth and doujin booths.

So sad that they only have a little bit of exhibitors. It's so different than in Madrid. Well, maybe because the place is not that big too. It's crowded, yes... But still comfortable to walk...

And I met with yingtze to buy her badges for my friend. The crews can't use my camera really well. And I don't have a good pic of me with her. this blur one is the best! LOL... (I regret not taking a wefie instead)

She's so kind, pretty, white, and TALL!!! First thing when I met her is she touched my green hair...... LOL

Yingtze's Badge

Actually I kinda in an awe when I saw doujin booths! Their drawings, their art.... ARE AWESOME!!

I'm sorry to say that, it's better here than in my country. It's the first time I went to Doujin Booths and really wanna buy something!

THE ARTISTS

I REALLY FALL IN LOVE WITH KAZEL LIM!!

Anyway, because I don't know what else I want to do here, I just stroll around looking for cosplayers and ask for their pictures.

And because they're so busy, I just got these 2 groups... QAQ

AND I ACCIDENTALLY MEET MY FRIEND! She's also like a lost child. and when I talk to her. She said that she don't know where to go and don't know what to do... LOL....

And after talking to her, I decided to go and have lunch!

****
  • Even though the event is not as big as I thought it would be, but it's well planned! For Indonesian Planner, PLEASE don't make half-hearted events. Cosplay events are everywhere in Indonesia, and so often! Therefore, sometimes, they didn't think through about the events, and it could be a disaster.
  • Their advertisements, designs and everything is so good. We sometimes didn't care about it, and make it like a primary school student's designs. No photoshop skills and no creativity. Sometimes it's even hurt my eyes.
  • I DIDN'T SEE ANY TRASH LAYING AROUND!!!!
  • Free flow drink is kinda good. but meh, don't expect it.
  • I don't see any food stall, but it's in a MALL! and I got COUPONS! maybe that's why it's not so crowded.
***

That's all from me... Sorry that it's not much, but I'll try harder next time... I'm still too shy to ask for their pic! Lol
