Hello! Malaysia!

So, just as my announcement before, I moved to Malaysia!!!

And right know, I finally have an internet connection, the cheapest one also SUPER FAST! WAOOOO!!

But, i'm still alone, don't have new friends yet. I don't know where to find materials for cosplay and information about cosplay events.

I hope my Indonesian friends will visit me here!!!

I'll tell you some tips before you go to KL!

  1. Download Uber & Grabcar! Malaysia's public transport, even though it's better than Indonesia, but it's still growing and not perfect yet. Bus is crowded and not efficient to ride. LRT is VERY Crowded, especially if you go to town or popular places. And people are not queuing like in Japan, we have to fight for it. Commuter, we have to wait for a long time for the train to come. Taxi? please, if you can ride anything else, don't ride taxi, especially if you're a tourist and can't speak melayu. They even lied to locals! You can pay cash for Uber and Grabcar, so you don't have to use ur CC if you don't want to. But CC is making your ride easier, especially if there are CENTS in your payment, and you don't remember yet the malaysian ringgit. use Uber if you want to go somewhere near, because it's cheaper. Use grabcar if the traffic congested and it's kinda far, because the fare is flat (exclude toll fee).
  2. Traveling group : If you're traveling here by yourself, I recommend you to use KLIA Express train from the airport. It costs only 55RM to KL Sentral. But if you're traveling more than one person. you can use budget taxi or public taxi. Budget taxi, you can find the booth after you came out from baggage claim. Be sure to ask for BUDGET TAXI! if not, you will get LUXURY taxi instead! If you have lots of baggage, you can use FAMILY taxi, costs 200RM
  3. LRT Card : If you're okay with using crowded LRT, etc. And if you think you will visit Malaysia often. You can buy MyRapid card. It's cheaper using this than always buying a ticket. You can get MyRapid card at the counter.
  4. How to ask for drinks in restaurant : Tea O Ice (Iced sweet tea), Tea O (sweet tea), Tea Ice (Ice Teh Tarik), Tea O Kosong (Tea without milk and sugar), Coffee (Coffee with milk). Just remember, O means sugar, Kosong means without milk, if you didn't use kosong, then your tea or your coffee will have milk in it.
  5. Beware of picpockets : all of my friends that I met here... always said "put your bag at the front", "beware of pickpockets" etc.
  6. Bring comfortable clothes : Malaysia is super hot!! So, if you want to take a walk outside, please do bring your super comfortable clothes and a hat. And sometimes it's raining, so you have to bring your umbrella.
  7. Culinary! Please do try Indian food and Arabian food!!!!! It's deliciouuus!! well, if you like spices. Because Malaysian food is almost the same as Indonesian food.
  8. Money! Don't worry if you need more money, you can withdraw your money in almost all ATM around here (I tried with BCA). Per withdrawal, they take about 15k-25k international withdrawal fee. The cheapest Ringgit (from Rupiah) is from AmBank.
