[Review] Kaito Yamaneko [J-Drama]

KAITO YAMANEKO
or
The Mysterious Thief Yamaneko

It's been a long time since I last watched J-Drama. Before this, I watched Dame Na Wa Koishite Kudasai. And because I don't really like that, so I reluctant to watch another J-Drama.

But, I suddenly discover this series. And find out the cast are awesome too!! So, I decided to watch it!

I do love them!!

Starring:
Kamenashi Kazuya as Yamaneko
Narimiya Hiroki
Hirose Suzu
Nanao
Kitamura Yukiya
Otsuka Nene
Sasaki Kuranosuke

Some of the casts and their relationship to each other

Story (8/10)

It's about a thief with a dark past that only wanted to bring the smile back for everyone. And only robs from the corrupted politician or people. He didn't work alone. He has so many friends and comrades to work beside him. But the truth is, his goal is only one. To kill Yuuki Tenmei and get his revenge. His guidance is only one, the Bushido book.

While he has a quirky, childish personality, he sometimes becomes so serious and  even rude sometimes. But he successfully opens their minds about what has they done wrong in this life.

While the opening act seems confusing, the story itself is rather simple. But when you watch it, there are lots of plot twists, especially near the ending. And that's what makes this series worth watching. It has comedy, action, serious problems, and conflicts.

It's been a long time since I watched series with this kind of romance!!
While most of K-drama always consists of romance!
This is different!!

When someone get serious, he always ruined it! LOL

It's when they fight in the car and the child on the left says "mom look! the car is shaking!" and the mom quickly covers his eyes and get away from their as quickly as possible... LOL

Music (10/10)

The ending soundtrack is from KATTUN!!!! OF COURSE!!!

The opening music is awesome too!!!! Tense and mysterious!!!

Settings (6/10)

Even though the series set is kinda good and also just right. But it's kinda lacking. Too simple. For example when they move the bars, it's the same!! only with minor changes!!! well... it's a hidden jokes as well... and also when they want to rob a place with high-security measures... it's not really high tech... it's so simple and boring.... I thought they could be better.

So, what are you waiting for?

Surprise guest for the series!!

Tips for Travelling

Right now, I'm going to tell you some tips for traveling without tour guides, travel agencies, and limited money. This may help you through your journey. And of course, it was helping me through my experiences for travelling.

****

Main tips of What to bring and to learn:
  • Always search where you wanna go before you travel. and also, search how to get there with train and busses and put those things on your itinerary. (If you have trouble putting those. I can help you.)
  • Download or save the train map to know where you have to go next. I prefer to download and print it because sometimes my battery is needed for the travel and I'm too lazy to bring the power bank for my phone. and paper is much lighter :p
  • Learn some of the words and sentences in their language and how to pronounce it before you go. such as:
    • Can you speak English?
    • Do you know this place?
    • Can you help me?
    • I need to go to tourist information center or police station. (because they will help you, in some countries the police are not helpful and rude though)
    • 1,2,3....etc. It's helpful if you want to buy something.
    • Chicken meat and pork (if you're a Moslem)
    • Excuse me
    • Thank you
    • Here
    • Sorry
    • Please
    • Hello
    • Yes
    • No (I think that's all. For now I've learned Spanish, Italian, french, Japanese, Thai, and mandarin for some of those words.. LOL)
    Portable Weight Scale
  • Don't forget to bring the travel luggage weight scale. It helps you to make sure you're luggage is not overweight or you have to pay more.
  • This purple bag travels the world with me
  • Bring a multi-pocket bag that is also waterproof. I always take my Kipling bag because it's really  helpful, even though the design is already out of date. LOL. It has lots of pockets to put different stuff, it's big enough for my camera, it's weatherproof!
  • Hidden Security Passport Wallet
  • Bring a small hidden security passport wallet that you can hang around your neck and put it inside your clothes. If you're afraid to get robbed. you can put some of your money there, some in your wallet, some in the bag, and some in your luggage. never put your money all in one place.
  • always copy scan and print your passport or another id, if, in case you lost your passport, you still have something.
  • print your hotel address, it's helpful if you take a taxi somewhere, just give them the address because sometimes it's hard to pronounce.
  • Manners around the world
  • Learn their manners. Because every country has different manners.
  • When you change your money to their currency, ask for smaller money too. Because sometimes they won't take your money if it's hard to give the change when you buy something.

Some other tips for before and after you've arrived:
  • If you're a shopper traveler like me, you better put more in your luggage weight in your airplane ticket when you're going back home and can just use the standard luggage weight when you go. because overweight will costs you more money.
  • If you're not a backpacker and also a shopper like me, you should bring, one big suitcase and one smaller suitcase that you can put it inside the big suitcase, one medium backpack, and one travel bag that you put in your empty backpack. If you have more money, you can only bring one suitcase and if you shop more than till your suitcase not fit anymore, you can buy cheap suitcase there and put some not-really-important pieces there.
  • never put your valuables in your suitcase, always put it in your backpack that you can always carry wherever you go.
  • Find your route from the airport to your hotel before you even depart, Don't turn off your GPS, but you can turn on the airplane mode. and when you've arrived you can turn off your airplane mode and your GPS will still work even if there's no wifi around. It's also helpful when you have wifi in your hotel and you want to go somewhere but you don't have any internet. Just turn on your GPS and never close it! Mark your location with stars or with a favorite in your google maps.
  • Use your coins to buy train tickets, bus ticket, mineral water and snacks. Because it's heavy.
  • Never bring the exact budget for your travel. Bring also your country's money. In case you need more for an emergency. and also for when you've arrived back in your country.
  • Always search for the weather information before you go, so you can bring the appropriate clothing for the weather. sometimes you can do laundry there or buy more clothes in a cheap clothing store if you have more money to spare.
  • Fast food in the european country is always cheap. for example, burger in McDonalds is 1 Euro.
  • But convenience store food also cheap. If you have more money to spare, you can try their main delicacies only.  Always try street food, which is even though it's not healthy, lots of street food are AWEESOOMEE!! Lol!
  • always be careful even though you're in a secure places.

****

That's all from me, for now~!

Hope it helps!!
Happy Travel!!

Japan Visa

So, this is the first time I apply for visa by myself.. I used to tell people to do it for me and pay for more. But right now, I'll try to make it by myself...  It's thrilling just like waiting for your exam results....  and now, I'm going to tell you how and also telling all my adventure of applying for visa. if you have any questions or maybe you need my help, feel free to write in the comment section or send me an email :D

My lovely visa <3
To apply for visa, you have to go to the Embassy of Japan that's located in Jakarta near Plaza Indonesia or Bunderan HI. Before you go, you have to make sure that you have all of the documents ready!

and these are the requirement for temporary vacation visa: (more information)
  1. Paspor.
  2. Formulir permohonan visa.
What to remember:
  1. don't forget to attach the company letter to ensure them that you're not jobless and will not trying to find a job in Japan.
  2. don't forget to attach the hotel booking if you have any. (I don't have one)
  3. They said that in 2013 for 1 day you have to have at least 1.5 million rupiah/person in your bank account.... so if you want to stay for 5 days, your bank account should be at least 7.5 million rupiah...
  4. If you don't have a lot of money in your bank account. Don't write such an impossible travel itinerary... such as: you only have 10 million and you will be going all over japan.while even train transport is so expensive that you can't afford it...
  5. the 4.5 x 4.5 cm picture is a bit hard. because not every studio can make it. I make it in Lippo supermall. They don't have a template for 4.5 x 4.5 and they have a hard time for it. So, I suggest you search a photography studio that can make it.
  6. for the itinerary, you don't have to be detailed. (Example : you write all of the places address with the time and budget. I only write the place, such as Chiba, Kamakura, Asakusa, etc.)
After all of your documents are ready, now it's time to go to the embassy!!!!

The visa application only available at 8.30 - 12.00 (mon-fri). So, because I live in Tangerang and I don't really familiar with Jakarta's street. I go there at 6 o'clock. I saw google map and said that I will arrive at 1 and a half hour. But, I lost in Jakarta, got redirected by google map, to the middle of bunderan HI, which is it was CLOSED!!!! so that's why nobody went there. I almost got stopped by the police. But I didn't. and because the embassy doesn't have any parking lot and Plaza Indonesia also still closes at this hour. I park at Grand Hyatt hotel and walk to the embassy.

The door at the embassy still closes because I arrived at 8. So, I should wait for 30 minutes. The line already a bit crowded, but everybody was sitting in a chair that was provided. And when someone was get up from the chair, I decided to go to the front to sit because the chair was empty. But suddenly, the gate was opened! and I stand in line to queue in front! We have to wait our turn to come in, give our ID card to the guard inside, go into the door on the right to get checked, get into the embassy and don't forget to push a queue button, and you will get a queue number for visa applicants.

I got 22. While we wait, someone will approach you and give you a form for taking the passport when it's done. 1 passport 1 form.

After got my number called, I went to the counter and give all of my documents. Apparently you don't have to give them the folder, you only gave them the documents, the form that you get while waiting, and your queue number. and that's it... It took me about 10 minutes in the counter. The employee will tell you when to come back here and how much you have to pay. (Rp 330.000/person).

And... you can come back home.... and pray that your visa application is accepted by the embassy!

I was afraid to not get accepted because I was living in someone else's house, so I don't have any hotel booking.

Waiting for the day is the torture...... I don't know what I'm going to do if my application was rejected by the embassy.

JAPAN HERE I COME~~~!!! <3
